Deterministic generative identity
Every name
has a shape.
Identicron reads a name as a seed and draws the only artwork that seed can produce. Same input, same mark, every time, forever. Point a profile picture at its URL and you have an avatar you never have to upload.

What it's for
A portrait that isn't a photograph
Plenty of places ask for an avatar when you would rather not hand over a face. A mark is recognisably yours and recognisably not you, and because it is derived rather than stored, it is the same everywhere you use it.
Anywhere an image URL goes
Every mark has a plain, permanent address. Paste it into a profile picture field, a README, a forum signature, a team directory or a chat workspace: anywhere that accepts a link to an image.
Nothing to upload, nothing to host
There is no file sitting on a server waiting to be lost. Ask for the address and the mark is drawn on request as SVG, PNG or ICO, from 32px to 2048px, so one seed is both a favicon and a poster.
Give a whole app faces
Feed it usernames and every account gets a distinct default avatar with no design work, no upload flow and no grey silhouette.
The wall
5 themes, no two marks alike
Every tile below is a real render from a real seed. Nothing here is a mockup.
How it works
Hashing, not guessing
Seed
Your input is hashed with SHA-256. That digest is the only source of randomness in the whole pipeline. There is no clock, no counter and no stored image.
Compose
The digest picks a colour harmony and then the structure itself: symmetry, layer counts, shapes, ornament. The renderer draws vectors, never pixels.
Export
You get the SVG that was drawn, plus PNG and ICO rasterised from that same file. Re-run it in a year and you get the identical mark back.
Make it yours
Claim a permanent mark
Playground marks come from whatever you type, so anyone typing the same thing gets the same art. Sign in and Identicron generates a private random seed that belongs to your account alone.
